Mining Speed

Mining Speed is how fast you break blocks. Every player starts with 0.1 How long a block takes depends on its strength:

Ticks to break = block strength × 30 ÷ Mining Speed, rounded (20 ticks are one second)1

Example: a block with strength 500 and 1,500 Mining Speed: 500 × 30 ÷ 1,500 = 10 ticks, half a second.
